The study was conducted by University of Technology, Sydney Business: Leisure, Sport and Tourism. It was commissioned on behalf of and with the co-operation of Business Events Sydney (BESydney). The study was an online survey of 1090 attendees – comprising delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and members of the organising committee – to five international congresses held in Sydney between 2009 and 2011.
