MEMBERS OF FIRST UK EVENTS INDUSTRY BOARD NAMED
Group to assemble for first official meeting today, January 20th 2016

The members of the first UK Events Industry Board (EIB) have been named ahead of their inaugural meeting today, January 20th 2016.

By Meetings and Incentive Travel - The government has started to form its industry representative board that will help shape the future of the business, visits and events sector.

From Meetings & Incentive Travel - Nick de Bois has been announced as the chair of the new Business Visits & Events Board.

The board is part of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s (DCMS) cross government strategy for the UK events industry and will be tasked with identifying business opportunities and to win more events for the UK.

Events are GREAT Britain, the brand to market Britain as a Business Visits & Events’ destination, was unveiled to industry associations, stakeholders and media last night (14th April) at an exclusive launch event held at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea Football Club.
