Dear BVEP supporters,
In wishing all those in the Events Industry a fabulous Christmas and a busy and successful New Year, I am pleased to report the progress made by the Partnership during the current year and our plans for next year.
The Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP) has published its report ‘Events Deliver Growth, Jobs and Opportunities. A Manifesto for Britain’s Events Industry’ to illustrate its contribution to the UK economy ahead of the upcoming general election on Thursday 12th December 2019.
The Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP) has confirmed updates to its terms of reference as it prepares to step up its advocacy and representation on behalf of the UK Events Industry.
The new terms, which were agreed at a recent member meeting in NewcastleGateshead, outline the BVEP’s revised vision, mission and objectives.
A quick update: As part of the Tourism Sector Deal, the government committed to launching a new T Level in Professional Catering. On 15th November, The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education launched it's consultation on the content of the qualification.
