Volume, value and key trends data for the UK conference and meetings sector from a supply-side (i.e. venue perspective).

The objective of the report is to provide ECM members with a monitoring and benchmarking tool supplying practical and actionable intelligence on the volume and the economic significance of convention business to city destinations. The report is based on a database containing information on more than 130,000 corporate and non-corporate meetings which took place in a sample of 58 European cities between 2009 and 2014. These meetings could be of international or national scope.

The study looks at megatrends affecting society and how these may impact the meetings, conventions and incentives sector up to 2030. Such trends include: globalisation and internationalisation, shortage of resources, urbanisation, demographic change / feminisation / diversity, technology in work and life, sustainable development, mobility in the future, safety
